At InfoComm from September 1 to 3, 2015 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, PeopleLink displayed its WebRTC enabled video collaboration on an MCU architecture at Stall D-50. The centerpiece was InstaVC, a multi-device video conferencing offering that could be accessed directly from compatible web browsers, removing the need to download any application.
Telepresence Built for Control Rooms
A highlight of the stall was a six display telepresence setup that moved beyond conventional telepresence. Integrated with video walls and digital signage, it demonstrated how visual collaboration supports control rooms and mission critical operations, where teams need to see many feeds at once and act quickly. This kind of deployment connects to PeopleLink video conferencing endpoints and government and command center solutions.
PeopleLink also bundled InstaVC with an interactive collaboration display from partner NewLine, establishing a live call between two stalls at the show. Amit Chowdry, Chief Executive Officer at PeopleLink, said: “Visual collaboration is continuing to change and it is our imperative to offer the users with the latest technology, which is intuitive, easy to use, interoperable and customizable as per the individual needs of the organizations.”
Wayne Wang, Deputy General Manager at NewLine Interactive, Asia Pacific, said: “We are excited about our partnership with PeopleLink for the product bundling of their InstaVC with our interactive unified collaboration display being launched in India this InfoComm. This will prove to be a major add-on for our distributors and partners to extend the reach of next generation UC technology to their customers.”
